I don't know how to tell, but I decided it was crack. There was a homeless guy nearby who said there are a lot of crackheads who smoke in a nearby building.

Yeah, but they probably won't find it. I just threw it away. In either case, I have no criminal record so they can't trace my prints. (also I have a scar right on one of my fingers, so I don't match any older ones that might exist)

If you were in Texas, they would be. For the last year, they've been taking a full five-finger print when you get your license. The legislature just passed a ruling to make them stop, though. Before that, you had to give them your thumbprint.

I dunno, but my point is they have no reason to suspect me. They'd only run prints on previous offenders and probably find the original owner's.

I might have one from my license, but I can't remember. Either way, I would bet it was my right index finger, which has since gotten permanently changed due to a splinter. Most finger prints are extremely similar, so that big of a difference would be enough to rule me out.

If they really wanted to, they could find my new print from the clocking-in-computer-thingy at my previous job, but then there's no way they'd waste that much time just for a first-time possession charge.
